About Us > Educational Project

1. The Colegio Internacional de Granada is a meeting place for children, teachers and parents. The cooperation and collaboration between families and the school is essential in achieving common goals. To reach them, parents are involved in school life on a regular basis; they observe, read, and discuss what and how their children are learning by exchanging information with their teachers.

2. Children are the main focus of our school, being listened to and respected at all times. Each child is unique with his / her own rate of development and learning style, interests, needs and potential. For these reasons, we offer an individualised education plan to meet the specific needs of every child.

3. We understand that children’s initial learning environment is their family. We therefore offer support and encouragement to create, develop and nurture family education.

4. We strive for Teaching and Learning for Life, to educate happy, creative, independent, respectful, resourceful and caring individuals, who enjoy their learning as they develop and grow. Individuals who are capable of expressing ideas and feelings and can communicate effectively.

5. We endorse the idea that to educate does not simply mean to accumulate knowledge, but rather, to stimulate the desire to learn, to discover and develop an enquiring mind. It is just as important to know the answer to a question as it is to formulate new ones.

6. We seek to help our students grow in all aspects:  intellectual, physical, emotional, social and artistic; creating happy individuals and equipping them with the necessary tools and resources to, firstly, be able to successfully achieve their learning goals through each educational stage and, secondly, effectively integrate into adult life.

7. We prepare our students for a future within an international context. For this reason, we give utmost importance to bilingual teaching (Spanish-English), command of German, as well as knowledge about the values and cultures of other countries.

8. We educate for peace and harmony, based on the humanistic values of freedom, justice, solidarity and democracy.

9.  We encourage a healthy lifestyle, balanced diet and exercise.

10. We believe in the preservation of ecology and the environment, in a direct and respectful relationship with nature.

11. We work as a team. We are convinced that the only way to success is as a united, well-organised group, with common objectives, and one which is willing to continually reflect and be open to change.
