School for parents with Dr. Emilio Calatayud

This time we shared the presence of the juvenile judge D. Emilio Calatayud, who is honored for his sensitivity with groups of children and for his often quoted thoughts (social help, further education to obtain a degree ...). Dr. Calatayud stressed out that it is the family and school who play the most important role in education and the whole process of upbringing. He tirelessly repeated the need to restore the lost authority and the need to pass on to our children concrete values, pointing out that all of us have our rights but also obligations. For everyone's wellbeing, it is essential to keep these two in balance. Nowadays we can observe that the offences committed by youngsters are every day more and more connected with modern technologies (filming on mobile phones, misuse of Internet, etc.). Parents should be alert to these new situations and children should use modern technologies under direct supervision of their parents. Among parents in the audience we could hear repeatedly the question: Schools don't know how to act when misbehavior occurs. In most cases, such a situation ends up being expelled repeatedly from a school, which obviously creates problems on parents side (problem of misbehavior is not solved, what happens with children who are not allowed to enter to school, etc.). The judge confirmed such situation and pointed out, that it is to the most interest of all actors (teachers, parents, students) to involve professionals in a school, who will deal with such behaviors, working towards reconciliation of situation, creating exemplary solutions of a problem and coordinating interests of all actors.
