The COLEGIO INTERNACIONAL DE GRANADA is a BILINGUAL centre (Spanish-English), in which our students acquire mastery of both languages. For this, we employ native and bilingual teachers. We are committed to multilingualism, introducing German as a second foreign language from the age of six.
Given that the main learning difficulties become apparent in this educational stage, the following key subjects, English, Maths, Spanish and Natural and Social Science, are given additional support in order to provide personalized attention to all our students. This will facilitate the immediate detection of any learning difficulties ensuring appropriate measures can be put into place to resolve any issues.
We believe in an inclusive education which incorporates music as it has been proven to play a prominent role in personal development. It teaches self-discipline, sensitivity, order, teamwork and precision, values which can be naturally transferred to other fields, permeating academic life and personal relations.
The teaching of ethical values is of great importance in our school. Friendship, effort, solidarity, freedom, critical thinking and respect for others, are our trademarks.
This would not be possible without the creation of “a friendly atmosphere for the mind”, i.e. a positive and stimulating environment for teaching in the broadest sense of the word.
In the field of sport, we are aware that well-organized and directed physical activity undeniably contributes to a child’s physical development and motor skills, as well as their social growth. Working as part of a team favours communication and relationships with others. We believe in and support systematic and controlled physical activity, which respects and values individual differences within each developmental stage and growth. We use methods based on scientific fundamentals, and a continual pedagogic monitoring of the process.
