Students from Secondary and Upper Secondary Education celebrated International Day of Peace and Non-Violence with different theatrical performances that represented historical moments related to peace, democracy, equality, and protecting our planet… All of them are important principles for our society and school.
We watched the following performances:
1st of Secondary- Peace related to environmental activism- Greta Thunberg’s protest
2nd of Secondary- Peace related to children’s rights – The Missing Children’s Project in Canada
3rd of Secondary- Peaceful activism against the dictator -The man on the tank, (Revolts from students in Tiananmen)
4th of Secondary- Non-Violent act for the rights of citizens of color -Martin Luther King’s speech in front of the Lincoln memorial.
1st of Upper Secondary- Peaceful march for democracy – The Carnation Revolution
2nd of Upper Secondary- Fight for sexual orientation equality- Assassination of Samuel Luis
