At Colegio Internacional de Granada, we understand that academic and professional guidance is a fundamental part of our students’ education. Accompanying them in making decisions about their future is a responsibility we assume with commitment and enthusiasm. That is why today we held a new edition of our University Fair, an event designed to offer our Bachillerato students the opportunity to learn firsthand about different higher education options, resolve doubts, and begin to visualize their path after school.

This meeting, held at the facilities of our school in Granada, was attended by important national and international universities such as Universidad Alfonso X El Sabio (UAX), UCAM, CEU San Pablo, EIG Business School, Universidad Europea, Nebrija, Universidad Loyola, among others. All of them shared their educational offerings, methodologies, internationalization programs, and career prospects with our students in a close and dialogue-oriented environment.

A day to explore real possibilities

The University Fair was organized as part of the vocational guidance program that we carry out at our institute in Granada, especially aimed at 1st and 2nd year Bachillerato students, who are at a decisive moment for their academic future.

Throughout the morning, students were able to attend different presentations, converse directly with admissions officers, and resolve their doubts about degrees, cut-off grades, scholarships, exchanges, professional internships, or admission requirements. The dynamic and participatory format facilitated individualized dialogue, allowing each student to receive information tailored to their interests, motivations, and personal goals.

This fair is a key initiative for our students to make informed decisions, knowing the options available in both public and private universities, inside and outside of Spain.

Academic guidance from a global vision

At our bilingual institute in Granada, we conceive university guidance as a progressive process that does not begin in the final year but develops continuously throughout the Secondary and Bachillerato stages.

We have a Guidance Department that accompanies students in discovering their interests and aptitudes, offering information sessions, professional orientation tests, personalized interviews, and constant support during the university and career selection process.

Furthermore, being a bilingual school in Granada, our students have the added incentive of being able to access international universities or bilingual degrees that require a solid foundation in English. In this regard, the fair also served to highlight the opportunities offered by institutions with international programs, Erasmus exchanges, double degrees, and alliances with foreign universities.

Listen, compare, and decide with criteria

During the event, each participating university had its own stand, where it offered information on its undergraduate programs, specializations, teaching methods (face-to-face, online, hybrid), employability, and agreements with companies. There were also thematic talks on emerging careers, such as the fields of health, engineering, business, digital marketing, sports sciences, architecture, and humanities.

Thanks to this experience, students were able to identify which type of university best suits their profile, which careers offer greater job prospects, and what added value each institution can provide.

Many students were surprised by the variety of existing options, beyond the more traditional careers. This fair was, without a doubt, an opportunity to broaden horizons and discover new passions or vocational interests.

An enriching experience for families and students

Although the fair focused on Bachillerato students, we also had the participation of some families, who highly valued the initiative and appreciated the opportunity to accompany their children at this important time.

At our bilingual institute in Granada, we believe that family support is key in making academic decisions, so we also offer workshops and meetings with parents to guide them on how to support their children in this process.

The atmosphere of the day was close, inspiring, and professional. Universities and students shared ideas, concerns, and proposals with a very positive energy that made the fair, once again, a resounding success.

Prepared to choose their future with confidence

One of the priorities of Colegio Internacional de Granada is that our students leave the center with the necessary tools to choose their future freely, informedly, and securely.

Events like this University Fair contribute to reinforcing that objective, allowing students to learn firsthand about the possibilities available to them and prepare, not only for university entrance exams but also for what comes next: a new stage full of challenges, responsibilities, and personal growth.

As a school in Granada that is committed to a global education, with values, and with a vision for the future, we will continue to promote this type of meeting, which marks a before and after in the academic journey of our students.

Conclusion: Choosing well begins with knowing well

Choosing a university degree is a crucial decision, and from Colegio Internacional de Granada we will continue to accompany them so that this path is full of information, clarity, and real possibilities.

We deeply appreciate the collaboration of all the participating universities, as well as the enthusiasm of our students, who took advantage of the day with interest and maturity. We are confident that this experience will bring them a little closer to their professional future.

Because choosing a university is not just choosing where to study, but starting to imagine the future that each one wants to build.
