At Colegio Internacional de Granada, we believe that learning is enriched when students can connect classroom knowledge with the real world. Recently, 4th-grade students had the opportunity to learn directly from two parents who have shared their exciting professions with them.
One of them, a Scientist, and the other, a Programming expert, offered the students a practical and applied view of the topics they have been exploring in their Science and Technology classes.
Connecting Science with Everyday Life
During the session, students were able to discover how scientific and technological advances influence our daily lives. Through accessible examples and explanations, our guests showed how science and programming are not only part of the school curriculum but also have fundamental applications in multiple areas of society.
Some of the aspects they explored during the day were:
-The importance of scientific research and its impact on health, the environment, and the development of new technologies.
-How programming is present in almost every aspect of our lives, from electronic devices to the applications we use daily.
-The need to foster curiosity, critical thinking, and problem-solving from an early age.
Motivating Learning for Students
This workshop has been an enriching experience for our students, who have been able to ask questions, interact with experts, and discover new possibilities for their future. In addition to complementing the content of their subjects, this activity has sparked a greater interest in science and technology in many of them.
Through these initiatives, at Colegio Internacional de Granada, we continue to commit to dynamic learning, in which students can see the connection between their studies and the world around them.
We sincerely thank the parents who have dedicated their time to sharing their knowledge and inspiring our students with their experiences.
