Here at CIG we wanted to make sure that our Primary students develop strategies that will help them do mental calculations so they keep their minds sharp and are able to quickly come up with the answer to mathematical problems.
This is why we paid a visit to the third cycle classroom today where our students are learning a range of techniques and strategies to operate with numbers in an entertaining way through games and tools such as Kahoot, Quinzet, and Plickers.
This routine takes place every day first thing in the morning for 5 to 8 minutes. It is a way of training concentration and completing the highest number of calculations in the shortest time possible. Both the students´ results and progress are amazing and positive.
