This school year, CIG has joined the prestigious “European Parliament Ambassador School” program. This educational program aims to deepen young people’s understanding of Europe and its democratic parliament by providing them with a working knowledge of the European Union and the European Parliament, in particular.
The program encourages participants to learn about the European Union from an experiential standpoint, what it means in daily life and what we can do so that Europe develops as its citizens see fit in the future.
Through this European Parliament Ambassador School, our students and teachers will learn about the opportunities offered to European citizens and will become aware of the role that the European Parliament has in the European decision-making process. The goal is, therefore, to educate youth about ways to take action and learn about the importance of voting in the European Parliament elections among other issues.
At CIG, we offer a subject called “European Studies” where our students practise and develop activities related to the European Parliament Ambassador School program. Students become Junior Ambassadors, take part in debates, update the Info Point on the European Union, prepare the web page with European content, play games related to the European Union and prepare for the Europe Day celebrations on May 9th, 2023.
