Yesterday on November 4th, students from Biomedical Sciences in 4 ESO visited the Science faculty at the UGR to take part in the activities planned for Science Week. After being welcomed by the vice-dean, our students enjoyed learning about some genetic limits, which until quite recently, would have sounded like science fiction. After this, they went on a walk around the university center. Entitled “A stroll through Biodiversity”, the activity consisted of “teaching them to look” in order to discover the urban fauna with which we live: blackbirds, parrots, cats and sparrows, were some of the animals sighted. To top off the day, students visited the Organic Chemistry lab where they were able to do 3 experiments, ranging from a volcano to the synthesis of nylon. It was a thought-provoking morning which helped to rouse scientific vocation.
