On Wednesday April 14th, some CIG students visited the mayor, Mr. José Ramón Jiménez and the Environmental Councillor at the Dilar Town Hall. There, students spoke about the recycling project at the school, the importance of using paper, battery and plastics bins. After explaining the need for this service, the municipality committed to collaborating with the school by providing recycling pick-up service. After this, the school presented the project: “CIG: A BIO-permeable school” which will begin shortly. Due to the fact that some of the proposed actions will be carried out in the Municipal park which is part of the Cañadas Residential Area, we asked for permission from public representatives to undertake actions such as placing nesting boxes or creating butterfly gardens, which they happily agreed to after speaking to students.
