On March 3rd, 1st and 2nd of Upper Secondary students enjoyed a virtual visit of the Prado museum in Madrid. Due to the current pandemic and not being able to visit the museum in person, we had to adapt and the education department at the Prado Museum gave us a tour inspired by a representation of the history of Spain through royal portraits of the Austrias and the Borbones, with wonderful works of art such as Carlos V by Titian, “Ladies-in-waiting” by Velázquez and the family of Carlos IV by Goy, among others. It was wonderful to have been able to attend this live visit of one of our country’s most important art galleries, a project which is still in its testing phase and which we, here at CIG, were pioneers in attending, thanks to the education department at the museum.
