This school year, we can’t travel to meet our friends from partner schools in person. But this doesn’t mean we aren’t still excited to do distance projects with them! For the past few months, we have been working on various projects with the US, France, Germany and Poland.
Last Friday, our grade 5 students had a video call with students from Oyster Adams Bilingual school in Washington, DC. We were able to show them the art of Flamenco (dance, guitar, and colourful dresses) and ask them many things while also teaching them more about our culture. Our students were surprised to learn that American students have been taking online classes since September 2020 and it has only been in the last few months that they have been returning to the classroom, little by little.
We’re having another video call soon!
