In Grade 3, and in the first grades of Secondary, we are working on current and urgent topics for our students and their lives- their safety and wellbeing on social media. Our students from grade 5 have their own iPads, which they use as a powerful educational tool. At CIG, we are aware how important it is to educate our students on how to properly use this tool and we are committed to ensuring our students are able to reap all of the benefits while still being safe and responsible. There are more and more students who use social media, video games and chat from an early age.
This is why we invited Rafael Payá, computer crime prosecutor, to explain what he does working with children abused through social media, behavioral risks in the virtual world and, of course, advice on how our students can build their digital competence and stay safe online.
