In a commitment towards an education of quality, the school has started from the initial stage of Primary Education. In order to offer continuity, the project grows with our students reaching Secondary Education and Bachillerato, as well as it completes the lower end adding Infant Education.

Calendar

Colegio Internacional de Granada follows the official calendar established by the governing authorities (Consejería de Educación -Delegación Provincial de Granada). However, during school holiday periods (Christmas, Easter and Summer) the school will remain open in order to help families with their work-life balance.

CIG Summer Camp

Once  the academic year is over, your children can enjoy fun and enriching activities at our fantastic CIG SUMMER CAMP which takes place in the final week of June and during the month of July. During the summer you can continue to count on CIG. Our summer camp is REALLY ENJOYABLE. There are activities for everyone: Drama, English, Music, Golf and a swimming pool, all combining to create a social and communal atmosphere which is very different from academic life at school.

Summer Camp 2017: The Summer Camp will be open from June 26th to July 28th 2017. As in the past years we will provide a programme which encompasses fun and enjoyment, enabling students to continue learning and developing in a social setting.

This camp is not exclusively for students at our school or Panda kindergarten, it is open to all children who are interested in coming to enjoy summer with us. We are planning to do the following activities: golf, horse riding, swimming, football, bike excursions, drama, art and music workshops, school garden, etc. All of these activities are conducted in English and take place in a privileged location surrounded by nature. Extracurricular activities and outings 2016/2017

Extracurricular activities and outings set for the school year 2016/2017 will be presented at the beginning of each trimester. The activities are organized by specialised teachers and tutors, who will  take into account the whole school programming, the age of the students and the cultural possibilities of our surroundings.

Third Trimester: 

-22nd of April, 2017:  First Communion.  Students in Religion class, 4th of primary.

-23rd of April, 2017: We celebrate Book Day.  All courses.  Scheduled for the morning.

-2nd to 7th of May, 2017: Visit from students from Denmark, German, and Estonia.  Maseni Project, Erasmus+

-4th of May, 2017: Interactive Museum, Caja Granada. 1st Cycle of Primary.  Scheduled for the morning.

-11th of May, 2017: Interactive Museum, Caja Granada. 2nd Cycle of Primary.  Scheduled for the morning.

-19th of May, 2017: Interactive Museum, Caja Granada. 3rd Cycle of Primary. Scheduled for the morning.

-20th of May, 2017: Final of Andalucia for Cyrstal contest for schools. Students of 2nd of Secondary.  Faculty of Science of Granada.

-22nd to the 25th of May, 2017: Interactive Museum, Caja Granada. 1st Cycle of Secondary. Scheduled for the morning.

-29th- 31st of May, 2017: Music Recital. Primary. Scheduled for the afternoon.

-1st of June, 2017: Music Recital. Secondary. Scheduled for the afternoon.

-7th of June, 2017: Cambridge Exams, KET and PET.

-9th of June, 2017: Cambridge Exams for Young Learners.

-10th of June, 2017: Cambridge Exams for Young Learners- Speaking Exam.

-12th and 13th of June, 2017: Final Recital for the Conservatory.  Scheduled for the afternoon.

-23rd of June, 2017: Hand out marks, 6th grade graduation, End of the Year Party.

 

Second Trimester:

-13th to 24th of February, 2017: Visit of students from the United States.

-27th to the 31st of March, 2017:  Trip to Denmark.  Students from 1st and 2nd of Secondary school.  Maseni Project, Erasmus +.

-3rd to the 7th of March, 2017: School trip to Rovaniemi, Finland. 6th of Primary.

-2nd to 5th of May, 2017: Visit of students from Denmark, Germany, and Estonia.  Maseni Project, Erasmus +

 

First Trimester:

- 5th of Septermber, 2016: Beginning of school year meeting for each course.  Scheduled for the afternoon.

- 23rd September, 2016: Beginning of school year outing (trekking).  Every course with their parents, grandparents, brothers,..etc  "Cruz de la Atalaya" (Padul).  Scheduled for the morning.

-28th of October, 2016: Halloween Party.  Haunted Passage in the morning.  Party organized by parents of 6th grade.  Scheduled for the afternoon.

-3rd of November, 2016: Science Park visit by 3rd and 4th of primary school.

-4th of November, 2016: Grandparents' Day. 1st and 2nd of Primary.  Scheduled for the morning.

-15th of November, 2016: Handing out Cambridge Certificates.  Students of 3rd, 5th of primary and 1st of secondary school. Held in the multiuse room at the school.  Scheduled for the afternoon. 

-16th of November, 2016: Science Day with 2nd of Secondary school.  Science Faculty.

-15th of December, 2016: Christmas Theatre.  All grades.  Armilla Theatre.  Scheduled for the afternoon.
